About Vinišće
Location: Approximately 25 minutes west of Split airport, Dalmatien, Croatia.
Vinišće is an old fishing village that has managed to preserve its relaxed charm. Here you can buy fresh bread every morning, freshly caught fish is sold directly at the bay and the fruit and vegetables are delivered to the sales stand every morning from the farms up in the mountains. The village has a number of really good restaurants and a few grocery stores with deli.
Vinišće is situated in a bay inside one of the Mediterranean’s most beautiful archipelagos with lovely turquoise bays and lagoons – it’s easy to find your own favourite! An hour’s drive from the village you find the unique nature reserve Krka. Here you will find magnificent waterfalls, fairytale forests and on a small island in the middle of a lake is a still active, medieval monastery. The Venetian heritage is generally present in the architecture and culture. The easiest way to experience this is in the narrow alleys inside the ancient city walls of Trogir, only 15-20 minutes by car from Vinišće. The food is typical Mediterranean cuisine with fresh local ingredients and pure flavours. Vinišće is an old wine growing and fishing village. People safeguard their integrity and allow no large hotel complexes, in fact, no buildings may be built with more three floors and it is close to everything. Here a humble, luxurious and relaxed attitude prevails, which makes it a perfect place to spend the holidays with loved ones.

Varför just Vinišće?
Sedan den där första veckan i Vinišće i juli 2010, har vi längtat tillbaka till solen, värmen, havet och avkopplingen. I Vinišće bor vi bekvämt i lägenheter av högsta standard precis vid poolen och med det kristallklara havet bara ett par hundra meter bort. Byn ligger avskilt, men ändå med så mycket att uppleva precis utanför viken eller på andra sidan berget. Kanske är det ändå bilden av de böljande gröna bergen och det blå havet som omringar byns mestadels vita stenhus, som jag bär med mig hemma under gråkalla vinterdagar.
